- 1923: Gebr. Brasseler founded as a factory for dental instruments in Düsseldorf, Germany, marking the introduction of Komet's direct sales.
- 1940s: Relocation to Lemgo, Germany.
- 1950s: Continuous expansion.
- 1988: Establishment of Komet Medical in the USA.
- 1998: Komet Medical initiates its international activities from Lemgo.
- 2000s: International dealer network established.
- 2000s: Continuous expansion of the product range.
- 2008: Launch of saw blade production at the Lemgo site.
- 2013: Introduction of an in-house cleanroom.
- 2013: Komet Medical becomes its own business unit within the Brasseler Deutschland Group.

- 2020: Gebr. Brasseler becomes one of the first companies to obtain the EU-MDR certificate from TüV Rheinland.
- 2021: Komet Medical introduces the innovative EPC sterilization packaging, reducing packaging volume by over 50% compared to traditional packaging concepts.
- 2022: Gun drilling technology introduced into Komet Medical's machinery for manufacturing a variety of cannulated tools.
- 2023: Integration with the Business Unit for Dental Implantology and positioning as one of the world's largest MedTech suppliers
- 2024: Establishment of Komet Medical USA LLC in Savannah, Georgia with a full focus on the US OEM business segment
